 About the Department of Computer Science & Technology
     The Department of Computer Science and Technology presently has two majors: computer science and technology (undergraduate) and computer technology application. This department has a quality faculty with 20 full-time teachers among whom 8 have medium professional certificates or above and 14 have master’s degree. Most full-time teachers of the department have an overseas experience of study, research or business. The faculty has published several text books and over 20 academic papers which have been included in various data bases. At present, the department has advanced computer hardware and software laboratories such as the hardware laboratory containing the computer organization principle laboratory, computer assembling, and digital logic. The computer software laboratory includes all the professional experimenting rooms which not only meet the students’ needs of studying software application, testing, data base designing, maintenance management, 3-D cartoon and game designing and research, but also meet their need for practice. The department greatly values the fostering of students’ practical ability and has built 3 practice bases outside the campus to provide intensive training.
    The department adheres to the connotation of “learning to be yourself, learning to learn, learning professional knowledge, learning English, and learning computer” and has accordingly designed a teaching system which matches the student’s characteristics and the needs of the job market. The department emphasizes the fostering of students’ actual practical abilities in software research, testing, management, data base management and maintenance. It takes great efforts to make student realize “zero transition from campus to enterprise” by combining study with hands on training. Graduates have solid professional knowledge and ability and many secure employment as software exploring researchers, software testing engineers, web designers, game design engineers, network engineers, data base maintenance specialists in the IT enterprises of cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Wuhan. Graduates are competent for careers as computer application and research as well as computerized management in various enterprises or institutions. The employment rate of graduates is over 98%.

Environment & Life Science
     The Department of Environment and Life Science constructed a building of 5,000 square meters with excellent facilities, equipment and high-level experimental conditions which provide laboratories for inorganic analysis, organic chemistry, chemical engineering, physical & chemistry and device analysis. State of the lab equipment includes the Single Phase, Flow Resistance, Distillation Tower, Fluidized Bed Dryer, Packing Absorber, Saturation Vapor Pressure, Rotation Spectrometer, Freezing Point Drop Detector, Acidity Detector, Ion Selective Electrodes, Gas Chromatography, High Performance Liquid Chromatography, Atomic Absorption Spectrum, and UV-visible Spectrophotometer. Biological Engineering provides laboratories for bio-chemistry, microbiology, genetics, cell biology, genetic engineering, cell engineering laboratory, molecular and the downstream processing for molecular laboratory. These laboratories contain additional advanced devices such as the Ultra-clean Table, Biochemical Incubator, High-speed Frozen Centrifuges, Electrophoresis Slot, Vacuum Freeze Drier, Polymerase Chain Reaction, Gel-image Analysis Instrument, Automatic Liquid Chromatography Separation Chromatography, and the Online Sterilization Fomenter. Environmental Engineering contains laboratories for environmental chemistry, environmental monitoring, emissions isolation and treatment, atmospheric desulphurization, and hydrodynamics laboratory. Also, students utilize the Sequencing Batch Reactor Activated Sludge Process Method of Sewage Treatment, Automatic Violence-Oxygenation Detector, Multi-functional Anaerobic Bioreactor, Up-flow Anaerobic Sludge Bed, Flocculation and Layered Sediments, Anaerobic Digestion Tower, the Fluid Resistance and Self-cycle Siphon Experimental Device.

About the Department ofElectronics and Information Engineering

       The Department of Electronics and Information Engineering presently has two majors: communication engineering and electro-information engineer. This department has presently set up a series of laboratories include the electronic circuit, electrical engineer training, microcomputer and the Super Chain Media (SCM) laboratory. Based on the educational connotation of “stressing on basis, enforcing practical training, valuing ability, fostering and improving quality” and sticks to the developing target of “conducting high quality education and fostering excellent talent”. The department continuously carries out teaching reforms and takes great efforts to bring up high quality individuals with innovative spirits.

Specialist:  Communication Technology; Electro-information Engineering Techniques.
